About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application (.NET) Developer with expertise in WPF and WCF to join our dynamic team in Chennai or Pune. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge desktop and web applications, contributing to the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in application development, with a strong background in the .NET ecosystem, front-end technologies, and database management. As a key member of our development team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in .NET application development, with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Extensive hands-on experience with WPF and ASP.NET MVC (ASP.NET 5).
- Strong proficiency in WCF and ASP.NET Web API for service-oriented architecture.
- Solid understanding of .NET Framework 4.5+ and .NET Core 2.1+ frameworks.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, and Bootstrap 2+.
- Experience with Entity Framework 6 for data access layer development.
- Strong SQL Server skills, particularly with SQL Server 2016 or higher, including query optimization and database design.
- Good understanding of software development best practices, version control, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including:
- Developing and maintaining desktop applications using WPF, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Building and consuming web services with WCF and ASP.NET Web API to support application functionalities.
- Designing backend solutions utilizing .NET Framework 4.5+ and .NET Core 2.1+ frameworks.
- Creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces with JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, and Bootstrap.
- Designing and managing data access layers using Entity Framework 6, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
- Optimizing SQL Server 2016+ databases for performance and scalability.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing applications to improve performance and usability.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.
