About the Role
We’re looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to help build the foundational systems of a fast-growing product from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the founders to define the product, design scalable APIs, and architect systems that power core workflows and internal tools. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape both the backend stack and the engineering culture.

What You’ll Do

1. Build and own backend infrastructure using Node.js and PostgreSQL
2. Design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs, internal tools, and product workflows
3. Collaborate closely with the founding team to define product direction and backend architecture
4. Contribute to building a high-performance, ownership-driven engineering culture

You’re a Great Fit If You

1. Have 3–8 years of backend development experience (Node.js preferred)
2. Are comfortable owning systems end-to-end and delivering in a fast-paced, iterative environment
3. Have a solid understanding of scalable backend design, cloud infrastructure, and clean code principles
4. Enjoy working closely with product and design to create elegant, performant solutions

Bonus Points

1. Experience with TypeScript, microservices, or containerized deployments
2. Familiarity with CI/CD, observability tools, and DevOps workflows
3. Passion for early-stage startups and building from 0 to 1
