Role Description As a Nest.JS Backend Developer at HelpRush in Srinagar, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services that power our verified work platform. You will build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, integrate third-party services, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable server-side logic. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and operations teams to translate requirements into robust features and implement best practices for performance, security, and code quality. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, reviewing pull requests, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system architecture and data models. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Srinagar.
Qualifications
- Strong back-end web development skills, including experience with Nest.JS and general software development best practices.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries used in web application development.
- Understanding of front-end development concepts and workflows, with exposure to state management tools such as Redux.js.
- Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, and integration of external services.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and performance optimization for scalable systems.
- Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative environment and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience with TypeScript, Node.js, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms is highly beneficial.
