Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nephrologist role based in sambalpur.. The Nephrologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, including electrolyte disorders, hypertension related to renal conditions, and patients requiring dialysis. Responsibilities include conducting outpatient clinics and inpatient rounds, interpreting laboratory and imaging results, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role also involves managing dialysis patients, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, and providing patient and family education on disease management and lifestyle modifications. The Nephrologist will maintain accurate medical records, adhere to clinical protocols and quality standards, participate in case discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement of nephrology services.
Qualifications
- Medical qualifications: MBBS from a recognized institution with MD (Internal Medicine) or equivalent, and DM/DNB in Nephrology or equivalent specialization.
- Clinical expertise: Proven experience in managing acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis (hemodialysis and, preferably, peritoneal dialysis), and kidney-related complications.
- Diagnostic and procedural skills: Ability to interpret nephrology-related lab tests and imaging, and perform or supervise relevant procedures as per institutional protocols.
- Communication and collaboration: Strong patient counseling skills, clear clinical documentation, and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and support staff.
- Professional attributes: Commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical patient care, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Additional desirable experience: Prior work in tertiary care or specialized nephrology centers, exposure to transplant nephrology, and familiarity with clinical quality improvement initiatives.
