Job Title: PRN Pharmacist, Specialty Pharmacy (Remote)

Location: Remote, U.S.

Candidates must hold an active pharmacist license in the state where they reside and in any state in which they will physically perform work.

Due to current licensing and operational constraints, PRN pharmacist roles are not available to individuals residing in California.

The Opportunity:

Are you a pharmacist looking for highly flexible, remote, part-time work where you can contribute meaningfully without committing to traditional full-time hours? The PRN Pharmacist role at Neovance offers the freedom to choose your shifts based on availability while helping our specialty pharmacy maintain timely prescription processing and clinical quality.

As a PRN Pharmacist, you will support prescription verification, patient counseling, and clinical review within our digital verification queues (DVQ). This role is ideal for pharmacists balancing other jobs, family schedules, or additional academic pursuits, or those simply seeking a flexible way to stay engaged in clinical practice.

How PRN at Neovance Works

To set clear expectations for interested candidates, our PRN model includes:

  • Flexible scheduling: Choose from available remote shift blocks based on your availability.
  • Variable hours: Work up to 25 hours per week, depending on volume and shift availability.
  • Active participation: PRN pharmacists should work at least 5 hours per month to stay active in the pool.
  • No guaranteed minimum hours: Workload may vary, but we anticipate steady demand in our digital verification queues.
  • Remote flexibility: All PRN work is completed remotely within approved U.S. states (excluding California).

What You'll Do:

Prescription Verification & Processing

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and clinical safety.
  • Support digital verification queue (DVQ) activities to maintain timely orders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and client-specific regulations.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Uphold all federal and state pharmacy regulations.
  • Report safety issues or medication errors per established protocols.
  • Protect patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and internal policy.

What You'll Bring: 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm); Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing in your state of residence and in any state from which you will physically perform work, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as business needs require.
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a pharmacist in a retail or specialty pharmacy, with demonstrated proficiency in the following areas:
    • Work independently and manage remote clinical workflows
    • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Expertise in FDA health regulations, pharmacology, and legal compliance
    • Experience with medication therapy management and patient counseling
    • Strong attention to detail with focus on quality and patient safety
    • Process management and analytical skills
    • Commitment to maintaining pharmacological knowledge through professional publications and continuing education

Compensation & Benefits:

All job offers are determined based on a candidate’s location, skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

This is a PRN, hourly position:

  • Paid only for hours worked
  • PRN employees are not eligible for medical, dental, vision, PTO, or holiday benefits
  • 401(k) eligibility applies per Neovance plan design
  • Compensation is based on experience, location, and internal equity
