PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Perform CNC programming and general set-ups.
- Program laser to ensure program files are accurate.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all laser orders.
- Clean and align the lenses and other optical pieces, change oxygen and nitrogen tanks.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Fanuc controllers.
- Strong computer experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least one year of experience running a 2D and 3D laser.
- At least 2 years of Amada or Mazak laser experience.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong computer skills.
- Understanding of G code.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.
- Good manual dexterity with fingers and hands.
- Knowledge of fixture building a plus.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds continuously or heavier weight with assistance.
- Must wear steel toe shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses at ALL times on the production floor, hard hats and cut-proof sleeves required in certain areas.
- Continuous mental and visual attention is required
- Requires constant alertness and attention to detail of correct product shipped and the count quantity
- Work involves likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demand
- Performing these duties will involve lifting, pulling, or pushing physical objects; standing, stooping and bending, walking and standing for long periods of time
- Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust
