Description
Position Summary: The Location Control Supervisor is responsible for driving warehouse accuracy, flow, and efficiency through proactive management of inventory locations, slotting strategy, and system integrity within the WMS. This position serves as the operational link between inventory control, receiving, and picking functions. Ensuring that every SKU is positioned for optimal accessibility, accuracy, and throughput. This role plays a critical part in maintaining an organized, data-driven, and high-performing distribution center by combining system analysis, floor execution, and continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervises the replenishment team ensuring completion before the start of the picking cycle.
- Oversee all product location assignments and movements within the warehouse to ensure proper slotting, accessibility, and flow.
- Analyze WMS data to identify inefficiencies, mis-slotted SKUs, and flow disruptions; develop corrective action plans.
- Partner with inbound and outbound teams to ensure products are consistently replenished to correct pick locations.
- Collaborate with the receiving team to establish slotting and labeling standards that improve visibility and speed.
- Utilize the Cubiscan system to gather product dimensions, weights, and data for improved automation and WMS optimization.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager, Director of Operations, and corporate leadership to align warehouse layout and process improvement projects with company-wide goals.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identify process gaps, develop SOPs, and implement best practices that drive measurable results.
- Serve as a WMS subject-matter expert and primary point of contact for location accuracy, bin logic, and product flow.
- Generate regular performance reports detailing location accuracy, SKU velocity, and layout efficiency metrics.

- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), slotting logic, and inventory control practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to coach, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with warehouse automation tools (e.g., Cubiscan, barcode scanners, RF systems).
- Continuous improvement mentality, ability to design and implement sustainable process changes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
