Director of Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Leadership & Strategy
• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Drive scalability, security, and high availability across platforms and infrastructure.
• Leverage AI, ML, and automation to enhance product efficiency and innovation.

2. Engineering Excellence
• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of complex fintech systems.
• Ensure the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, microservices, API integrations, and platform scalability.

3. Team & Culture Building
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Attract and retain top-tier engineering talent from premier institutions and industry
leaders.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Product, Data Science, Risk, and Business Teams to drive innovation.
• Translate business challenges into scalable tech solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of technology, compliance, and risk management.

Attributes we are looking for:
• 13+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a stable career history.
• Proven experience in building and scaling engineering teams in fintech, BFSI, or consumer tech.
• Strong understanding of high-scale distributed systems, data engineering, and AI/ML
applications.
• Hands-on experience in Java and React.
• Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferably from tier-1 engineering institutes (IITs, NITs, BITS, or equivalent) with a strong pedigree.
