About the Role
We’re looking for a Founding Frontend Engineer to lead the architecture and development of all user-facing components in our observability platform. From interactive dashboards to trace explorers and visual analytics, you’ll design the core frontend systems that power a seamless and insightful user experience. This is a foundational role where you’ll set the tone for our UI/UX, establish best practices, and directly shape the product from day one.

What You’ll Do

1. Design and build performant, responsive React applications for visualizing metrics, traces, and logs
2. Develop reusable component libraries and data visualizations to support real-time monitoring
3. Create intuitive, powerful UIs for advanced use cases like root cause analysis and anomaly detection
4. Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate real-time and historical data APIs
5. Define and own frontend architecture, setting the direction for maintainability, scalability, and design standards

What We’re Looking For

1. 4+ years of experience in frontend development (5+ preferred)
2. Deep expertise with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS
3. Proven experience building and scaling component libraries or design systems
4. Strong understanding of state management (Redux, Context API), performance optimization, and modern tooling
5. Passion for clean, user-focused design and intuitive developer experiences
