Quality Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications and technical documentation to define inspection strategies.
- Identify and utilize appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure repeatable and accurate measurements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications/standards in accordance with customer requirements.
- Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Perform measurement system analysis (MSA) and gage R&R to validate measurements.
- Create and maintain quality assurance documentation including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, PPAP per customer requirements.
- Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and skills
- Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role. A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ experience in CMM programming required.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
- Working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC) for measurement data interpretation.
- Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for excellence.
- Ability to work, drive initiatives and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
