Role Description This is a full-time, on-site NDT Technician role based in Alappuzha. The NDT Technician will perform non-destructive testing on components and structures using approved methods and procedures to identify defects, corrosion, and material inconsistencies. Responsibilities include preparing test surfaces, setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, conducting inspections, recording and interpreting test results, and preparing clear, accurate reports. The role also involves supporting quality control activities, following safety and regulatory requirements, coordinating with engineers and supervisors on findings, and maintaining equipment in good working condition. The technician will be expected to follow company standards, client specifications, and relevant codes while meeting project timelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in NDT methods such as Eddy Current and Ultrasonics, with the ability to set up equipment and interpret results accurately.
- Experience in Inspection and Quality Control, including documenting findings, following procedures, and complying with industry standards.
- Knowledge of Corrosion mechanisms and their impact on materials, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and report related defects.
- Relevant NDT certifications (e.g., Level II or equivalent) in applicable methods are strongly preferred.
- Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related engineering discipline is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to work effectively on-site and in field environments.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications, along with basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
