SQL Data Administrator II - NBC Sports Next

The SQL Database Administrator II, participates in the design, development, implementation, review, and monitoring of all database environments. The SQL Database Administrator II will work closely with the software Development, Data Engineering, and QA teams to ensure that each team has the resources needed to run efficiently and effectively and to provide guidelines and recommendations on best practices in the field. Responsibilities: * Design, implement, maintain, and monitor database servers across environments including but not limited to Production, QA, and Development Environments. * Ensure High Availability and meet SLAs for systems across environments. * Design and implement monitoring solutions to achieve HA and SLA goals. * Reviews and audit all environments for best practices in security. * Assist in TSQL development (check-in, review, build, testing, and deployment) and support of SQL CI/CD life cycle. * Assist developers in best practices for writing queries / procedures. * Performs tuning to identify system performance bottlenecks. * Assist in system capacity planning. * Creates and implements new environments based on the needs of the business. * Designs and implements data systems integration.
