About the role
The ETS Principal Engineer - Cloud Engineer (Systematics/Mainframe) is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions to support the mission-critical Systematics and Mainframe applications and infrastructure for Navy Federal Credit Union. This individual will work closely with the application and infrastructure teams to ensure the seamless migration and operations of these critical systems in the cloud. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions to support Systematics and Mainframe applications and infrastructure
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth migration and operations of critical systems in the cloud
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Identify and implement automation and optimization opportunities to enhance cloud operations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide incident response as needed
