Your Role
As a Navigation Support Assistant, you will support efficient and reliable solutions from our Mumbai Technical department, contributing to operational reliability. We invest in people, we always deliver, and we never compromise on safety or reliability.
Key responsibilities:
- Arranging and following up on repairs and routine maintenance of radio and navigation equipment onboard vessels, coordinating with service providers and vessels to ensure timely completion.
- Planning and arranging radio surveys in line with classification society and flag state requirements, including documentation and tracking of survey status.
- Supporting remote troubleshooting and rectification of faults related to navigation and communication equipment, ensuring clear documentation of issues and corrective actions.
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment breakdowns, repair histories, and related technical documentation to support transparency and continuous improvement.
Your Profile
We are looking for a navigation support professional who thrives in a global, collaborative environment and can apply technical knowledge in a structured, safety-focused setting.
To perform well in this role, you bring:
- A graduate degree in Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, or equivalent qualification and experience as a Navigation Officer / Radio Officer with a shipping background.
- Practical experience with planning, maintaining, and troubleshooting marine navigation and communication equipment, including coordination of repairs, routine maintenance, and required surveys in line with flag state and classification society requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to support technical troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and compliance-related activities within maritime operations.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, enabling clear technical communication and accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of marine navigation, radio, and communication equipment used onboard commercial vessels, including maintenance, surveys, and fault reporting.
- Experience coordinating repairs, routine maintenance, and service activities with vessels and external service providers in a maritime environment.
