Duties
You will serve as liaison for budget, accounting, management-financial reporting, and financial management policy and procedures within the organization. .,You will direct continuing program execution review, analysis, and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.,You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program, variances or problem areas.,You will perform analysis and interpretation of the financial significance of past events and future plans and provides timely data for use in the direction, evaluations and control of operations.,You will conduct management evaluation, prepare or review responses and recommend alternatives for corrective action to issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, and inspections.,You will utilize financial systems (Navy ERP, DTS, WAWF).,You will provide recommendations to stakeholders within and outside the organization.,You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work.,You will utilize knowledge of the Appropriations law and use of funding types, specifically shipbuilding and conversion Navy funding.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate work managing the functions of a financial management program (e.g., accounting, budget, management- financial reporting or financial management policy) to advise on program execution and provide recommendations to stakeholders within an organization. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Salary is capped at GS-15, Step 5 ($189,186). If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
