Duties
You will serve as a financial management advisor to the Commander/Division Technical Director and other Division senior leadership.,You will provide NUWC Division Newport and NUWC Headquarters Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) policy, interpretation and guidance.,You will coordinate financial planning, analysis, and monitoring services for all direct programs.,You will formulate and monitor Division operating budgets.,You will provide liaison with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.,You will support the Managers' Internal Control (MIC) Program by ensuring that laws and regulations are followed.,You will ensure programs and resources are protected from waste, fraud and mismanagement.,You will assess the fiscal health of the organization.,You will develop and oversee execution of financial strategies to meet top-level Division objectives including Net Operating Results (NOR).,You will recommend resource allocation for the Commander's and Division Technical Director's approval.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing leadership and oversight in the financial concepts, policies, governing statutes, regulations and principles associated with the financial operations of a Navy Working Capital Fund. Supervisory Pay Differential of up to four (4) percent may be authorized for this position. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
