Duties

You will administer the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of the NAVFAC organization's IM/IT program.,You will resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.,You will maintain systems configuration.,You will manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements.,You will manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.,You will ensure and manages systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, integrity, efficiency and recoverability.,You will implement system security procedures, tools and policy, to include firewalls, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts. Identifies and mitigates security vulnerabilities and risks.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintain network operation and maintenance concepts to establish connectivity between remote sites; 2) Develop and implement configuration management plans for complex Local Area Network (LAN)s and Wide Area Network (WAN)s to identify and resolve network issues; 3) Analyze network architecture trends to improve network access control; and 4) Configure hubs, switches and routers for reliable performance.
