Duties

You will plan and develop complete, self-contained training products (courses, aids, methods, training plans, etc.) for weapons training, or other functional areas as directed.,You will develop and or evaluate training aids and technical equipment utilized in the course for applicability to training objectives, adequacy of course coverage, educational adequacy for student level, technical accuracy and quality.,You will coordinate with appropriate personnel concerning the installation/de-installation of equipment, systems and training devices to meet emerging requirements.,You will teach weapons psychomotor skills, facilitate computer-based instructor training and tactical movements commonly utilized by Navy Security Force Personnel.,You will manage the Master-at-Arms weapons unit training program for all assigned Training Specialists, Military instructors, and contractors to include the instructor training and certification processes for all high-risk training instructors.,You will conduct instructor evaluations and make recommendations to the chain of command on instructor suitability.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develops training products (courses, aids, methods, training plans, etc) for weapons training; 2) Teach weapons psychomotor skills, facilitate computer-based instructor training and tactical movements commonly utilized by Navy Security Force Personnel; 3)Develops course curriculum from applicable guidelines to include the complete development of course segments; 4) Submits course revisions to improve course content, materials or to incorporate regulatory changes/requirements when new or changing circumstances require adjustments in methods or approaches; 5) Initiates special studies and research projects pertaining to innovative applications of the new developments and/or teaching techniques and strategies; and 6) Leads training unit level meetings of key personnel to discuss, review, and collaborate on educational and training problems related to the curriculum.
