Duties
You will instruct inexperienced students in high-risk environments, while ensuring safe and effective training.,You will research, prepare, distribute and maintain academic and operational data.,You will establish and implement standards, guidelines, and regulations in accordance with the proper policies and procedures.,You will administer practical and written examinations, remediations and retests.,You will draft curriculum developments or modifications requests.,You will serve as the Weight Handling Equipment Program Manager.,You will utilize various software and databases to create spreadsheets, trackers, schedules, lesson plans and correspondence.,You will maintain the test bank at the schoolhouse, ensuring tests are current.,You will serve as the Command’s Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) Program Manager. Responsible for managing the WHE and licensing programs; while maintaining all crane attachments and rigging gear assigned.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Teaching technical courses, lecturing and giving instructions on operating advanced equipment such as government cranes, crane attachments, truck tractor trailers, bulldozers, excavators, scrapers, asphalt distributors, rollers, and more, 2.) Monitoring and evaluating student comprehension and course effectiveness, 3.) Conducting inventory of all testing materials to include test administrators guides, student booklets and instructors answer keys, 4.) Conducting safety inspections regularly or as needed when curriculum changes 5) Maintaining all student academic exam records and 6.) Utilizing multiple databases to track training budget, track training certifications and to maintain training functions. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
