Duties
You will plan and accomplish procurement assignments in accordance with governing rules and regulations.,You will receive, examine, and research authorized purchase requests.,You will perform recordkeeping requirements according to government regulations and internal operating procedures.,You will purchase supplies, services, and materials through open market procedures and from prescribed or mandatory sources.,You will meet with representatives of suppliers to find new sources of supply, discuss new items on the market, and to show need for strict conformance to government terms and conditions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possessing a foundational knowledge of procurement, supply chain support, and federal purchasing regulations; 2) Planning and carrying out purchases in accordance with federal laws and internal company policies; 3) Familiarity with standard requisitioning, inventory management, and internal purchasing codes; 4) Managing a corporate credit card for business purchases and processing transactions using the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; 5) Reviewing and prioritizing critical business requests and tracking orders throughout the procurement lifecycle; 6) Maintaining detailed purchasing logs, files, and documentation in line with organizational standards; 7) Accurately reviewing and reconciling monthly corporate credit card statements; 8) Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems; and 9) Basic skills in conducting market research, sourcing quotes from vendors, and creating purchase orders.
