The Deputy Organizing Director will participate in managing an innovative program that reaches the voters Democrats need to persuade and turn out in the midterms. CSV is looking for an experienced Organizer and manager that can supervise and coach through multiple layers of staff. This person needs to be creative in their approach, collaborative in their design, and relationship-oriented in their execution.

Salary: $7,500/month

Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Regional Organizing Directors and the Coordinated Organizing program in assigned regions across Arizona
- Support and help lead the Organizing Department hiring process, including hiring Regional Organizing Directors and Organizers
- Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for organizers and organizing managers
- Coach regions to meet voter contact metrics and goals, and implement systems and processes to hold the team accountable
- Support design and implementation of comprehensive strategies-- including training, resources, and goals-- for Organizing staff to recruit, train and work with volunteers
- Build and sustain political and strategic relationships with stakeholders, county and district party leadership, progressive coalitions, and community organizations
- Work collaboratively with all other departments to meet staff resource needs and accomplish goals
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ cycles of organizing experience, with at least one cycle as a manager on a statewide or coordinated campaign preferred
- Skilled project manager with experience managing staff to meet organizational metrics and goals
- Experience building teams from scratch, including creating an inclusive and positive working culture
- Ability to work strategically, collaboratively, and creatively with excellent written and oral communication
- Demonstrated ability to use data to inform strategy development, monitor progress to goal, and report on and analyze outcomes, including fluency with VAN
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate priorities, needs, and expectations to organizers and managers, both orally and in writing
