Job Summary
NUSD is seeking a Coordinator III to lead the development, implementation, and improvement of mathematics curriculum and instruction (K-12) to enhance student achievement.
Required Documents
Knowledge of Building Thinking Classrooms preferred
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities could qualify someone for this position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Equivalent to a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education, education administration, social work or a related field.
Administrative experience in K-12 setting preferred, managing programs, supervising staff, collaborating with community and business partners, providing oversight of health and safety, and aligning resources and services in education settings.
Valid California Administrative Services Credential issued by the State of California preferred.
Has a cleared teaching credential and at least five years of teaching experience in a TK-12 setting.
A valid California Driver’s License.

NUSD is seeking a Coordinator III to lead the development, implementation, and improvement of mathematics curriculum and instruction (K-12) to enhance student achievement. The Coordinator will:
Provide instructional leadership and direction to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned mathematics instruction for all students
Lead the district vision for effective mathematics teaching and learning
Support implementation of standards-aligned instructional practices focused on conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem solving
Mentor teachers, model and coach with effective teaching strategies in classrooms, and provide resources to support diverse learners
Lead curriculum adoption and ensure effective implementation of new high quality math materials
Design and facilitate professional development for teachers and administrators
Build capacity in math content, pedagogy, and instructional materials
Support ongoing coaching, PLCs, and site-based professional learning structures
Support the development and use of common and formative assessments
Monitor, analyze, and share student data to inform instructional decisions
Facilitate districtwide math conversations and initiatives
Collaborate with district and site staff, principals, teachers, families, and students
Participate in District teams and lead district initiatives
