Leave and Accommodation Specialist

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a Leave and Accommodation Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, and disability programs for our associates. You will work closely with our legal team, benefits administrators, and people leaders to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Key responsibilities include: - Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, state leave laws, disability, and workers' compensation - Manage the interactive accommodation process for associates with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other medical conditions - Communicate with associates, people leaders, and third-party administrators to ensure timely and appropriate case management - Maintain accurate documentation and case files in HRIS system - Analyze leave and accommodation trends and provide recommendations to leadership - Partner with employment counsel on complex or sensitive cases - Participate in policy development and training for people leaders
