Role: National Sales Manager (Dermatology / Cosmetology Rx)
Location: Mumbai (Pan-India responsibility)
Reporting to: Vice President
Role Overview
The National Sales Manager will lead and scale the pan-India sales function for the Dermatology / Cosmeceutical Rx portfolio, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and team performance across dermatology clinics, aesthetic centers, and key distribution channels.
This role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership + on-ground execution, with deep understanding of derma-driven prescription sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with business objectives
- Drive revenue growth across cosmeceutical and nutraceutical portfolios
- Set annual/monthly sales targets and ensure achievement
2. Team Leadership & Expansion
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team (Zonal / Regional / Area Managers, MRs)
- Build strong second-line leadership
- Drive a performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability
- Hire strategically to support expansion plans
3. Dermatology & Aesthetic Channel Development
- Strengthen relationships with dermatologists, cosmetologists, and aesthetic clinics
- Develop KOL (Key Opinion Leader) engagement strategy
- Increase prescription generation and product adoption
- Work closely with medical/marketing teams for scientific positioning
4. Distribution & Channel Management
- Expand and optimize distribution network (stockists, super stockists, clinics)
- Ensure product availability, inventory health, and supply chain coordination
5. Marketing & Product Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing for:
- Product launches
- Promotional strategies
- Campaign execution
- Provide field insights for:
- New product development
- Pricing strategies
- Competitor positioning
6. Performance Management & Analytics
- Monitor sales performance through dashboards and KPIs
- Analyse region-wise performance, ROI, and productivity metrics
- Drive corrective actions for underperforming territories
- Ensure efficient territory planning and coverage
7. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies and ethical sales practices
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations
- Manage budgets, expense controls, and reporting
Key Deliverables (Success Metrics)
- Achievement of national sales targets (monthly/quarterly/annual)
- Expansion of active dermatologist / clinic base
- Increase in prescription share and secondary sales
- Team productivity (sales per rep, coverage, ROI)
- Successful launch and scale-up of new products
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 12–18+ years in pharma / cosmeceutical / nutraceutical sales
- Minimum 3–5 years in a national / leadership role (Pan India or minimum Half India)
- Strong exposure to dermatology / aesthetic segment preferred

- Excellent stakeholder management (KOLs, distributors, internal teams)

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in Science / Pharmacy / Business
- MBA (preferred but not mandatory)
