Duties
Working as the SharePoint Administrator for the Enterprise Cloud Communications Group, you will be responsible for: The administration, governance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online environments, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable collaboration services across the organization. Managing end-to-end SharePoint operations, including site provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management, while enforcing robust access controls and permission governance. Overseeing enterprise-wide access requests, ensuring adherence to least-privilege principles and enabling secure collaboration with internal users and external partners. Implementing and enforces site-level restrictions and access controls to protect sensitive data, including restricting site access to designated security groups, configuring external sharing policies, limiting access from unmanaged devices, and applying Conditional Access and session controls. Ensuring sites containing regulated or sensitive information are secured through targeted policies and continuous monitoring.
Qualifications
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as: Designing and implementing MS Purview sensitivity labels to protect data in SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Using PowerShell and ShareGate for automation, migrations, and audits. Enhancing governance, security, and Copilot readiness via SAM, MFA, Conditional Access, and Compliance controls. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
