Vacancy for the Position of Project Manager (GIS Management)

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is inviting applications for the position of Project Manager (GIS Management) on a mid-term basis. The key responsibilities and requirements for the position are as follows: Responsibilities: - Manage and coordinate the GIS activities of the Mitigation Division of NDMA. - Provide technical support and guidance to the GIS team. - Develop and implement GIS-based solutions for disaster management and mitigation. - Ensure the maintenance and updation of the GIS database. - Coordinate with stakeholders and partner organizations for GIS-related activities. - Prepare periodic reports and presentations on the GIS activities. Requirements: - Master's degree in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in managing GIS projects and teams. - Proficiency in GIS software, spatial data analysis, and web-based GIS applications. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Experience in working with government agencies or disaster management organizations will be an added advantage.
