Job details:
Wattr.ai is hiring a Narrative Architect & Creative Director
Here's a fun fact that should probably terrify you more than it does.
India's water pumps use 25% of the country's electricity. A quarter. And the system managing all of this is (and I'm being generous here) basically a bunch of people guessing.
No real-time data. No intelligence layer. No one connecting the dots between water, energy, and the fact that hundreds of millions of people depend on both. Just pumps running in the dark.
Wattr.ai exists to fix this. We're building the operating system for water-energy governance (IoT controllers, AI analytics, policy optimization) deployed across state governments. Series A ahead. And we need someone to own the story.
Here's the gig.
The founder writes well. That's not the problem. The problem is he's also building the product, closing deals, and running a company. The narrative work deserves someone whose entire brain is on it.
That's you.
You take a messy founder brain dump and turn it into an investor deck that makes a VC say "shut up and take my money." A proposal that closes the deal. A vision video that gives people goosebumps. An investor cold email that actually gets opened. Founder content that stops the scroll.
Same person. Different registers. Same day.
Then you build the machine around it - freelancers for design and video, eventually a distribution lead who reports to you. Every word and frame that leaves the company runs through you.
Why you should care.
You're not writing for a SaaS app. You're not selling shoes.
You're architecting the narrative for a company working on water, energy, food security, and climate - simultaneously! The decks you build will move institutional capital. The proposals you write will reshape how entire states manage their most critical resources. The story you craft will define a category that barely exists yet.
Most "Head of Content" roles are about making noise. This one's about making history. (Okay that was cheesy - but it's also kind of true.)
You need to be:
AI-native. Claude, Canva, Eleven labs, Veo, etc. are how you work, not something you're "exploring." Fast. Brain dump in, sharp draft out, same day. Technically fluent. You can understand deep-tech and government policy - and make both vivid enough that someone with 30 seconds of attention gets it. A creative director. You don't just produce great work yourself - you maintain quality through others.
This is not for you if:
You've never written something that moved money. You need two weeks to deliver a deck. You want to impose your own narrative instead of amplifying the founder's. Your portfolio is blogs and Instagram captions. (No shade - it's just a different job.)
Chandigarh-based or willing to relocate. More than Competitive compensation, if you’re the one.
To apply, send exactly three things:
- One document that moved money or won a deal
- One piece that made something complex vivid and simple
- One example of work you directed but didn't create yourself
If this is your kind of crazy, we'll know from the portfolio. And you'll know from this post.
