We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team. This role is initially remote, with plans for an office in Bangalore early next year. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the backend systems that power our applications. We are particularly interested in candidates skilled in Python and with experience in AI startups.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python.
2. Integration with AI Systems: Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate machine learning models and AI functionalities into our applications.
3. API Development: Create and manage RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party integration.
4. Database Management: Optimize and manage databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet business needs.
6. Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and resolve performance issues and bugs in the backend system.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on Python.
2. Experience working in AI startups or developing AI-related applications.
3. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
4. Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
5. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
