N-able is seeking a Senior Penetration Testing Engineer to come join a fun and energetic team on our exciting journey! 

 

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of both information security and penetration testing. They should understand concepts such as networking, applications, and operating system functionality and be able to learn advanced concepts such as application manipulation, exploit development, and stealthy operations. This is not a “press the ‘pwn’ button” type of job; this career is technical and challenging.  

 

This opportunity will perform red team and application penetration testing in support of N-able’s products and enterprise. They will lead the maturity and development of the red team program to include purple teaming, bug bounty and external pentest engagements

What You'll Do

  • Perform network penetration, web and mobile application testing, source code reviews, threat analysis, and wireless network assessments 
  • Develop accurate reports and presentations for technical and executive team members. 
  • Effectively communicate findings and remediations to technical and executive team members. 
  • Safely utilize attacker tools and procedures 
  • Develop scripts, tools, and methodologies to enhance and mature the team and other teams 
  • Build and maintain the red team, pentest, purple team and bug bounty 

What You'll Bring

  • 4-6+ years of Red Team/Pentesting experience 
  • Exposure to AWS, Docker, Kubernetes 
  • Network penetration testing and manipulation of network infrastructure 
  • Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols) 
  • Web application assessments with targeted code review 
  • Shell scripting or automation of simple tasks using Perl, Python, or Ruby 
  • Detailed knowledge of vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including application penetration testing 
  • Developing, extending, or modifying exploits, shellcode or exploit tools 
  • Reverse engineering malware, data obfuscators, or ciphers 
  • Strong knowledge of tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing 
  • Mastery of Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, including bash and Powershell 
  • Familiarity with the cyber security threat landscape and the tools, techniques and tactics of threat actors 
  • Good sense of humor 

 

Nice to have: 

 

  • Degree/Certificate in Computer Science (or related degree), or OSCP, OSEP or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 5 years programming experience, with 2 years working on secure design and coding practices 
  • Familiarity with the cyber security threat landscape and the tools, techniques and tactics of threat actors 
  • Mobile Application Testing  
  • Experience with security tools and software
