About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer who thrives in a startup environment, where adaptability and cross-functional collaboration are key. This role goes beyond coding—you will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to understand commercial and technical challenges, then translate them into product roadmaps and user stories.

While you don’t need to be an expert in every aspect of the stack, you should have a strong foundation in front-end development and API design, along with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to understand customer and partner needs—translating them into meaningful product features and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer and partner needs, and help convert them into innovative products
• Develop and scale Myver’s digital receipt infrastructure, focusing on front-end development, APIs, and integrations with financial institutions, integration partners and retail partners.
• Understand customer needs and technical environments, helping to map challenges into a structured development roadmap
• Collaborate with product, tech, and business teams to ensure Myver’s solutions align with customer requirements and market trends.
• Engage with partners and customers, assisting in technical discussions and ensuring smooth onboarding of integrations.
• Experiment and innovate, helping define Myver’s approach to transaction data enrichment, AI-driven insights, automation, and other groundbreaking products.
• Take part in ensuring that all deliveries live up to our PCI DSS compliance.
• Embrace a startup mindset, taking on multiple roles as needed and adapting to evolving business needs.

Ideal Candidate

• Full-Stack Experience: Strong foundation in front-end technologies (such as React, Next.js, TypeScript) and API development (such as Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, REST/GraphQL APIs).
• Customer-Focused Problem Solver: Ability to understand commercial and technical challenges, then translate them into development roadmaps and structured user stories.
• Tech & Product Balance: Comfortable working at the intersection of product, technology, and business—bridging technical execution with customer needs.
• Agile & Startup Mindset: Experience working in fast-paced environments where adaptability, iteration, and cross-functional collaboration are key.
• API & Integration Knowledge: Experience with API-driven development, where experience integrating with banking, payment, or retail platforms is a huge plus
• Security-First Mentality: Awareness of security best practices, particularly in fintech, with prior PCI DSS compliance experience/knowledge being a huge plus
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices, including automated testing to ensure smooth releases.
• Software Development & Execution: Strong experience in software development, API integrations, and technical execution.
• Systems Knowledge: Understanding of microservices, API architecture, and integrations (REST, GraphQL, event-driven systems).
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure to support API and infrastructure discussions.
• Databases: Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL to support partner integrations and API development.
• Troubleshooting: Strong technical troubleshooting and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze logs, identify API failures, and collaborate effectively to resolve issues.
• Requirements Gathering: Experience gathering technical requirements from integration partners, customers, or stakeholders and translating them into structured backlog items.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.
