About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mysql Developer to join our dynamic team at Tata Consultancy Services. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in database development and management. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a master's degree is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in MySQL/SQL is essential, along with proficiency in programming languages used for database integration such as PHP, Python, or Java. Candidates should have hands-on experience with database administration tools like MySQL Workbench or phpMyAdmin, and familiarity with version control systems like Git. Strong scripting skills in Shell or Bash for automating routine tasks are also required. Additionally, knowledge of data modeling principles, normalization techniques, and entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) is vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize MySQL databases to support various applications and business processes.
- Implement and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning techniques to enhance system responsiveness.
- Develop and execute data migration strategies, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during transitions.
- Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and system administrators to deliver seamless integration and data flow.
- Automate routine database tasks such as backups, restores, and maintenance activities using scripting languages.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy standards.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Document database architecture, procedures, and best practices for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
