Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a MySQL Database Administrator located in Mumbai. The MySQL Database Administrator will oversee the management, performance tuning, and optimization of MySQL databases. They will implement database updates, perform backup and recovery, and troubleshoot database issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The role also involves collaboration with development teams to manage database design and support application integration, ensuring data integrity and security.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in MySQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting database issues
- Strong skills in database backup, recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python), and database security practices
- Knowledge of database design, normalization, and query optimization
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Bonus: Experience with cloud database services, High Availability (HA) architectures, and replication setups
