Associate – Analytics and Business Insights

Myntra's engineering team is at the forefront of creating a seamless shopping experience for customers and ensuring the efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers. Our team works on developing large-scale web applications, user-friendly interfaces, big data analytics, mobile apps, workflow systems, and inventory management. As part of a small, impactful technology team, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to a rapidly growing organization and gain comprehensive exposure to the entire e-commerce platform. Data is the backbone of e-commerce, and our Analytics team manages all of Myntra's data. This team has built a Big Data Platform that ingests data from various sources, standardizes metrics, and develops data & analytics products. If you are passionate about big data and analytics, and want to work on big data engineering, data visualization products, and analytical models to drive business decisions, this is the perfect team for you. You will manage large data stores (both relational and non-relational like HDFS) and learn to build large-scale event collection and processing systems. The team is responsible for calculating key business metrics for each department and uses technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Scala, Java, RedShift, MemSQL, AeroSpike, Python, R, and web technologies (nodejs, react) for building data & analytics products. Roles & Responsibilities Apply structured problem-solving techniques and use the right tools to solve open-ended problems. Create productized analytics solutions or frameworks independently. Understand business and product problems and develop deep data-backed solutions. Perform root cause analysis and deep dive analysis of specific product issues. Run and maintain the reporting system, presenting insights at weekly forums. Build templates and dashboards in Excel or on the intranet for operational and management reporting. Extract data as requested by business teams for ad hoc analysis. Conduct business analysis and understand the business needs. Evaluate metrics to be tracked according to business goals and explore additional metrics for a deeper understanding of product performance. Mentor data analysts on daily analysis tasks and upskilling. Work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects with varying levels of complexity. Qualifications & Experience 1-3 years of experience working with large data sets and conducting quantitative analysis. Some understanding of statistics and prior experience building statistical models (e.g., hypothesis testing, product experimentation, A/B testing, regressions). Excellent knowledge of SQL and expert knowledge of data manipulation languages such as Python. Previous experience with e-commerce funnels and retention. Applied knowledge of commonly used techniques as well as emerging and niche analytics techniques. Ability to think through product and business metrics to assess product features. Knowledge of business modeling and basic financial metrics is a bonus. Quick learner with the ability to work in a dynamic work environment. Team player who is comfortable interacting with people from multiple disciplines. Established expertise in designing new dashboards and identifying the right metrics and layout; proficient in building dashboards on UDP and Power BI using best practices. B Tech/BE in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
