Description

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated individual with a passion for testing and quality assurance:

  • Focus on requirements gathering, test planning, test execution, automated and manual testing and investigative analysis of defects to verify code changes during the development cycles
  • Identify gaps in test coverage and perform other testing as necessary including performance, security, accessibility, and user acceptance
  • Write clear, concise, descriptive bug reports and verify bug fixes
  • Work and communicate effectively in an agile team environment
  • Develop and maintain a suite of complex automated tests supporting code releases, migrating manual tests to automation where appropriate, and exploring other opportunities to increase automated testing.
  • Troubleshooting web applications – verifying reported live issues, identifying their underlying cause and seeing them through to resolution, liaising with development and product management teams where appropriate.
  • Championing testing, effective test automation and good testing practices.
  • Actively supporting agile development methods and best practices.
  • Supporting and actively work towards test-driven development.
  • Helping to improve processes and procedures.
  • Producing clear and concise test reports and release notes when needed.
  • Assisting with the setting up and configuration of test environments.

Qualifications

  • BE, BTech or MCA with minimum 2-3 years of experience in development of an test automation.
  • 7+ years of software quality engineering testing experience
  • Experience with automated test scripting in any object-oriented programming language targeting web applications, microservices and mobile applications.
  • Experienced with testing Mobile, Microservice, Database and Web Applications.
  • Working experience with Source/Version control systems (e.g.: Git)
  • Hands on experience preparing test environment, test data as per requirement.
  • Experience in database, performance and security testing will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
  • Experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or wealth management preferred.
  • ISTQB certification preferred.
  • Certifications or professional training in software engineering principles such as test automation and agile development methodologies desired.
