Machine Learning Intern - Summer 2025

We are looking for a Machine Learning Intern who will have the opportunity to spend 10 weeks with our Machine Learning team this Summer 2025 and work on projects that directly impact our product and users. What you’ll be doing: Implementing Recent Advances in Deep Learning and Image Recognition, including new optimizers, architectures and training objectives Training Image Recognition and Vision-Language Models Evaluating Models and Curating Datasets to identify and mitigate issues in current models Live our core values in all you do: Be Kind and Care Live Good Health Be Data-Inspired Champion Change Leave it Better than You Found It Make It Happen Qualifications to be successful in this role: Be a current, full-time college student with at least one academic term remaining following an internship at MyFitnessPal. The following students are generally eligible: Undergraduate students graduating between December 2025 and June 2026 (rising Juniors or Seniors) Students completing their master’s degree between December 2025 and June 2026 Current PhD Students Familiarity with common recommendation systems and Large Language Models (LLMs) Experience with large scale multimodal models (ex: Vision-Language Models) Proficiency in Python Hands-on experience with PyTorch Nice to Have: Knowledge of distributed training frameworks (ex: PyTorch Distributed, DeepSpeed, Ray Train) Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes Previous research experience On Device inference (ex: CoreML)
