Are you organized, patient-focused, and great at keeping things moving? As a Specialty Referral Navigator, you’ll be the go-to expert guiding patients through their specialty referral journey—making the process smooth, supportive, and stress-free.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and process patient referrals
- Communicate with providers and clinical teams
- Verify insurance for referred services
- Schedule patient appointments with specialists
- Answer patient questions with care and professionalism
- Maintain accurate referral records
- Follow up to ensure timely, coordinated care
- Troubleshoot issues and keep the process compliant with HIPAA
What You Bring
Required:
- Strong customer service & communication skills
- Team-oriented attitude
- Great organization and problem-solving abilities
- EMR proficiency & general computer skills
Preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Experience in healthcare admin
- Medical Assistant certification (a plus!)
Education
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Healthcare experience or certifications
Supervision
- This role has no supervisory responsibilities
Work schedule
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
