Machine Operator I

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Part-Time Machine Operator I, sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and precision in all tasks.

• Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
• Operate various types of machines to produce parts conforming to print requirements, may include basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Can simultaneously operate two or more machines when practical and necessary.
• Performs basic daily maintenance or checks for machines.

WHAT YOU OFFER ~

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years’ industrial experience desired in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) desired
• Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems desired
• Must read/write/speak English fluently
• Computer skills (MS Office) and experience in ERP systems preferred
• Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions
• Knowledge of hand tools and general inspection tools
• Detail oriented with good time management and organization skills
• Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes
• Must be able to stand, stoop and lift to 40-50lbs

Pay range: $21-$24.00 per hour - this is a part-time position working 20-30 hours per week, Monday - Thursday
