Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Student/Intern: Generalist, you will be employed by IBM as part of your academic program or during university breaks. This role is designed for students who are looking to gain professional experience while pursuing their education. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist with projects: You will contribute to various projects and tasks, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to different aspects of the business. This is an opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a professional setting.
- Support teams: You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting them in their daily tasks and learning from their expertise. This will help you build relationships and gain insight into different roles within the organization.
- Participate in learning opportunities: As a student/intern, you will have access to various learning resources and training programs. You will participate in these opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills, preparing you for future roles.

Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong interest in technical support, enterprise systems, and customer service.
- Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, and database concepts.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn about various network OEMs.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Solid fundamentals: OSI/TCP‑IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing basics, DNS/DHCP
- Comfort with CLI and Wireshark basics; strong communication and curiosity
- Bonus: CCNA/Network+ (in progress), scripting (Python/PowerShell), ServiceNow/Jira
