About the role

Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all preventative maintenance, inspections, and repair activities at the Miami International Airport (MIA) Consolidated Rental Car (ConRAC) Facility. This role ensures all facility systems and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational standards.

The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance personnel, coordinates vendors, and supports overall facility operations to ensure a high level of service delivery to the Airport Authority and Rental Car Companies (RACs).

Location: Miami International Airport Consolidated Rental Car Facility

Reports To: Facility Manager

Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus full benefits package including medical insurance with dental and vision options, HSA (with HDP plans), 401(k) match, PTO, and performance incentives.

Qualifications

  •         Physical ability to lift 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and operate in varying indoor/outdoor conditions
  •        Valid driver’s license required
  •        Experience in equipment inspection, troubleshooting, and repair
  •        Mechanically inclined with ability to use hand and power tools
  •        Strong organizational and communication skills
  •       Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •        Experience managing maintenance staff or leading small teams preferred
  •        Experience in large commercial or industrial facilities preferred

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  •        Perform and oversee inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs for all facility systems
  •        Supervise maintenance staff and assign daily tasks
  •        Utilize MVI’s CMMS system to track, review and validate work order completion
  •        Support a positive work culture and environment
  •        Ability to lead, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians
  •        Coordinate and dispatch vendors for major repairs
  •         Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
  •        Ensure all systems including carwash, vacuums, plumbing, electrical, and building infrastructure are operating effectively
  •        Perform and oversee pressure washing, painting, HVAC maintenance, and general facility upkeep
  •        Perform plumbing inspections and repairs including fixtures and eyewash stations
  •         Conduct electrical maintenance including lighting and minor repairs
  •        Operate equipment such as scissor lifts for elevated work
  •         Perform high dusting and cleaning of facility structures
  •        Assist with carwash system operations and maintenance
  •        Maintain vacuum systems including cleaning and inspections
  •        Perform concrete inspections and minor repairs
  •        Maintain doors, gates, and facility hardware
  •        Maintain utility vehicles and perform preventative maintenance
  •         Respond to RAC (Rental Car Company) service requests and facility needs
  •        Ensure compliance with safety protocols and assist with incident response
  •        Support overall facility operations and perform additional tasks as needed
