Role Description The Music Teacher role at NIHOC – The International School is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Music Teacher will design and deliver engaging music lessons for different grade levels, aligning with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, teaching music theory and performance skills, conducting practical sessions (such as piano or ensemble work), and preparing students for school events, concerts, and assessments. The teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain records, and collaborate with other educators to integrate music into broader learning experiences. Additional responsibilities include organizing rehearsals, supporting extracurricular music activities, managing classroom resources, and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and grow.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Music and Music Theory, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to learners at different levels.
- Demonstrated Music Performance skills, preferably including ensemble or solo performance experience.
- Background in Music Education, with experience planning and delivering structured music lessons.
- Proficiency in Piano, with the ability to use the instrument for instruction, accompaniment, and demonstrations.
- Relevant academic qualification in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching children or young learners in a school or similar educational setting.
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging classroom environments and manage diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
