Role Description The Music Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position located in Pratapgarh. The Music Teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the school curriculum, introducing students to fundamental and advanced musical concepts. Daily responsibilities include teaching music theory and performance, conducting practice sessions, organizing class activities, and preparing students for school events, recitals, and examinations. The Music Teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain classroom discipline, and collaborate with other staff members to integrate music into broader school programs. The role also involves caring for instruments, creating lesson plans, and encouraging creativity and confidence in learners of different age groups and skill levels.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in music theory and general music knowledge (Music Theory, Music).
- Demonstrated experience in music performance, with proficiency on at least one instrument (Music Performance, Piano).
- Background in music education, with the ability to design age-appropriate lessons and activities (Music Education).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience in a school or educational setting, preferably with primary and secondary students.
- Ability to manage classrooms, work collaboratively with colleagues, and communicate effectively with students and guardians.
- Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a passion for nurturing students’ musical interests and talents.
