About the role

JOB OVERVIEW
The Convention Center Attendant should be a motivated, customer-focused self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills. Scheduled hours will vary from week to week based on the needs of the resort, so flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts are required. This position works with minimal supervision to welcome and assist Convention Center guests, provide exceptional customer service, and direct guests to the appropriate individuals or event areas. Basic knowledge of audio/video equipment, projectors, and computers is preferred. The ideal candidate must be able to remain positive and professional in high-pressure situations, adapt quickly to sudden changes, and effectively resolve guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with arranging and setting up multiple banquet and event configurations.
  • Provide friendly, professional guest service throughout all events and interactions.
  • Assist with parking coordination and occasional traffic control during events.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the convention center facility to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Complete event setups and teardowns efficiently while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Move chairs, tables, stages, and other event equipment as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor during sudden changes or high-pressure situations.
  • Respond to guest concerns and resolve issues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Department with responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain flexibility with varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Support co-workers and contribute to a team-oriented work environment throughout the property.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or General Manager.
