Role Description
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and guide customers through the instrument experience center
Demonstrate and play at least 2 musical instruments confidently
Explain instrument features, sound quality, and tonal differences
Assist customers in choosing instruments based on skill level and requirements
Provide basic technical support including tuning, setup, and maintenance
Ensure instruments are clean, tuned, and performance-ready at all times
Conduct beginner-level walkthroughs for customers trying instruments
Build engaging musical experiences for walk-in visitors
Handle customer queries related to accessories, amplifiers, and audio gear
Coordinate with the sales team for product recommendations and conversions
Maintain display standards and instrument handling protocols
Support workshops, jam sessions, and in-store music events
Keep updated with new instruments, music trends, and audio technology
Educate customers on instrument care, storage, and long-term maintenance
Assist in inventory checks and reporting damaged or faulty equipment
Create a welcoming and community-driven environment for musicians and learners
Help customers compare different brands, models, and sound profiles
Basic understanding of live sound setup, signal flow, and audio connections is a plus
Ability to communicate passionately about music and instruments
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Music Performance and familiarity with a wide range of musical instruments
- Practical experience with Music Production and Music Education
- Hands-on knowledge of acoustic and electronic instruments
- Understanding of the Music Industry landscape and its trends
- Comfortable interacting with beginners as well as professional musicians
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with musicians and non-musicians alike
- Experience working in a customer-facing or mentorship role is a plus
- Passion for independent music and fostering a creative community
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Music, Music Production, or related field is preferred
