About Creator Engine
Creator Engine is a creative post-production company that partners with leading global creators, studios, and networks to deliver high-impact digital and television content. From English Micro-dramas, to International YouTube, documentaries to branded storytelling and behind-the-scenes campaigns, we craft content where story, sound, music and visuals work together to create a compelling viewing experience.
At CE, music is not an afterthought - it is a core storytelling tool that shapes emotion, pacing, and audience engagement.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Music Editor who understands how music drives storytelling.
This is not just about placing tracks, it’s about interpreting narrative intent, enhancing emotional impact, and building a cohesive sonic experience that elevates the video or film.
You will work closely with editors, producers, and creative teams to ensure that music, sound design, and pacing align with both creative intent and platform expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of music and sound design - carefully selecting, editing, and integrating tracks that enhance storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact
- Interpret briefs and narrative intent - translate creative direction into effective sonic choices that support the message
- Build cohesive soundscapes - combine music, ambient sound, and SFX to create a rich and immersive viewing experience
- Align with platform and client expectations - adapt music styles and tone based on content format (Micro-dramas, YouTube, branded content, etc.)
- Collaborate with stakeholders - Work closely with Music Supervisor, Editors, Creative Producers and other stakeholders to ensure audio aligns seamlessly with visuals, pacing, and narrative flow
- Work within fast turnaround timelines - make effective creative decisions under time constraints while maintaining quality
- Manage timelines and delivery expectations - estimate scope of work and communicate timelines clearly to all stakeholders
- Stay updated with music trends - Stay future ready and continuously evolve your understanding of styles, genres, and sound design approaches relevant to digital content
- Communicate creative intent clearly - articulate your choices and contribute to team discussions
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in music editing, sound design, or audio post-production for a visual medium. Prior experience in editing music for soaps / series is preferred.
- Strong interest/ understanding in western audience’s music sensibilities for a visual medium
- Strong understanding of how music influences emotion, pacing, and storytelling
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into sound decisions
- Good knowledge of music genres, trends, and platform-specific styles
- Experience with SFX layering and soundscape creation
- In addition to your DAW of choice, it will be great to be flexible to work on scrappy workflows and use tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition etc as and when required
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
You’ll Thrive Here If You
- Think about sound as a storytelling layer, not just background
- Can quickly match music to tone, emotion, and audience expectations
- Enjoy working closely with editors and creative teams
- Are comfortable making decisions under time pressure
- Stay curious about music trends, formats, and evolving content styles
This Role May Not Be a Fit If You
- Approach music as a plug-and-play task rather than a creative decision
- Struggle to work within fast turnaround timelines
- Prefer working in isolation without collaboration
- Find it difficult to adapt to different content styles and client needs
Why Join Us
- Work on diverse content across Hollywood Micro-dramas, YouTube, brand campaigns, premium digital formats and more
- Be part of a team where music and sound design is treated as a key creative driver
- Grow in a fast-paced environment that values clarity, ownership, and creative thinking
