Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Murex Production Support Analyst to provide
operational support for the Murex platform in a live trading environment. The role involves
incident resolution, system monitoring, and close interaction with traders, risk, back-office
users, and development teams to ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 production support for Murex across Front Office, Risk, Operations, and
- Finance.
- Monitor Murex processes (MxML, Datamart, workflows, batches) and troubleshoot
- real-time and batch issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution for functional and technical
- incidents.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and application teams for incident resolution
- and service recovery.
- Manage start-of-day (SOD), end-of-day (EOD), and end-of-month (EOM) processes.
- Support integration interfaces (e.g., market data feeds, trade feeds, payments) and
- resolve connectivity or data issues.
- Maintain system stability, performance tuning, and job scheduling (Control-M, Autosys,
- etc.).
- Handle user queries and production tickets within defined SLAs.
- Participate in change management, release deployments, and post-release validations.
- Document incidents, SOPs, and known issues; contribute to knowledge base and
- automation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on Murex production support experience (Murex 3.x).
- Strong understanding of Murex components: MxML, MxG2000, Datamart, workflows,
- and trade lifecycle.
- Good experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and job monitoring tools.
- Strong SQL/Oracle DB knowledge for issue analysis and debugging.
- Experience with integration protocols: MQ, SFTP, XML, and API-based services.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with 24x7 availability (if required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Front Office functions (pricing, booking), risk, and PnL reporting.
- Knowledge of FX, IRD, EQD, Fixed Income, and other asset classes supported in Murex.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Geneos, AppDynamics, Grafana) is a plus.
- Automation experience with Python, Ansible, or other scripting languages is a bonus.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
