Salesforce Solution Architect

MuniPaaS is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect to design, implement, and optimize innovative Salesforce solutions for our municipal and public sector clients. This role is pivotal in understanding complex business challenges, translating them into scalable, efficient technical architectures, and leading the delivery of Salesforce ecosystems tailored to the operational needs of local governments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud and Public Sector Solutions (Industries), strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, and a proven ability to engage in custom solution negotiation with municipal stakeholders to shape tailored outcomes. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Development Design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions, incorporating both declarative and programmatic configurations (e.g., Apex, Lightning Components, API integrations). Architect end-to-end solutions to support municipal service management, citizen engagement, licensing, permitting, inspections, and workforce management using Salesforce Service Cloud and Public Sector Solutions. Develop comprehensive data models, automation frameworks (e.g., Flows), user interface designs, and security configurations aligned with municipal compliance standards. Ensure solutions are API-ready and seamlessly integrate with third-party systems, GIS, financial systems, and document management platforms. Lead technical negotiations to define solution approaches that align stakeholder priorities with scalable and sustainable technical designs. Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Leadership Act as a strategic technical advisor to municipal clients and internal project teams, translating business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps. Facilitate workshops and technical design sessions to collaboratively define solution requirements, system designs, and integration patterns. Lead technical teams through all phases of project delivery, enforcing development best practices, security standards, and scalable solution design patterns. Engage in custom negotiations with clients to refine functional requirements, propose alternatives, and balance scope, timeline, and technical feasibility. Governance, Quality Assurance, and Security Conduct detailed architecture reviews and security audits to ensure solutions meet municipal data privacy, security, and accessibility (WCAG/AODA) standards. Define technical standards, reusable frameworks, integration guidelines, and deployment procedures for all project teams. Champion proactive issue identification and risk mitigation throughout the solution lifecycle. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Drive internal innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities for new accelerators, reusable components, and Salesforce-native automation tools. Stay current with Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and industry trends to ensure MuniPaaS solutions remain at the forefront of municipal innovation. Mentor and coach technical teams, fostering continuous skill growth and professional development across Salesforce disciplines. Qualifications Required: 8+ years of progressive Salesforce experience, with direct expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Public Sector Solutions. Active Salesforce certifications, including Application Architect and/or System Architect; Solution Architect credentials strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end solution designs and technical project deliveries for complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong technical proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, SOQL/SOSL, Flow, Process Builder, Validation Rules, and standard Salesforce platform configuration. Deep experience integrating Salesforce with external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, or third-party middleware. Strong experience with data migration from legacy or on-premise systems into Salesforce environments. Track record of successful custom negotiations with municipal or enterprise clients, including negotiation of functional requirements, data models, system integrations, and phased delivery approaches. Excellent communication and client engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value propositions. Experience working within the public sector, including an understanding of municipal governance, compliance requirements, and citizen-centric service delivery models. Preferred: Experience with OmniStudio, integrating Salesforce with ERPs or third-party applications. Familiarity with public sector use cases, compliance, and workflows. Proficiency in UI technologies such as Bootstrap, Lightning Design System, AngularJS, or jQuery.
