About the role

Full‑Time • Non‑Exempt • Hybrid (Boise, ID)

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized HR Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function across multiple locations. This role serves as a key liaison between HR, employees, and managers, helping ensure consistent delivery of HR processes, onboarding, recruiting coordination, employee engagement initiatives, compliance activities, and day‑to‑day employee support.

The ideal candidate operates with a higher level of independence, sound judgment, and accountability, while partnering closely with the HR team to support departmental priorities and projects.


Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Hiring Support

  • Generate staffing requisitions and secure required approvals in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain and track the requisition log, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
  • Post job openings through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Coordinate the recruitment lifecycle, including resume screening, phone screenings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
  • Administer background checks, employment verifications, DMV and criminal checks, post‑offer physicals, and drug tests
  • Support and participate in in‑person interviews as needed
  • Help deliver a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process

Onboarding & New Hire Experience

  • Facilitate and maintain a consistent onboarding experience across all company locations
  • Conduct onboarding and ensure completion of all required employment documentation
  • Enter and audit new hire information in the HRIS for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure new hires receive equipment, system access, and inclusion in communication and distribution lists
  • Conduct new hire orientations and serve as an onsite HR resource during onboarding
  • Travel between facilities as needed to support onboarding, employee integration, and HR presence

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Support employee relations, performance management, and retention initiatives
  • Assist with preparation, review, and proofreading of employee documentation, including attendance notices and corrective actions
  • Provide day‑to‑day support to managers regarding policies, documentation, and standard employee issues; escalate complex matters to HR leadership
  • Assist with leadership and employee training coordination and compliance tracking
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, tools, and employee support practices
  • Serve as a visible, approachable HR contact for employees across assigned locations

Offboarding & Terminations

  • Process termination paperwork and ensure completion of offboarding steps
  • Update employee status changes across HRIS and related systems
  • Coordinate timely benefit removals and submit COBRA information to third‑party administrators
  • Submit terminations, including temporary employees, into designated systems
  • Coordinate exit questionnaires and assist with exit interviews
  • Ensure offboarding documentation is accurate, complete, and timely

Records Management & Compliance

  • Maintain organized, compliant electronic employee files
  • Manage the HR shared drive, keeping policies, procedures, and forms current and accessible
  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, and compliance documentation
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information

Additional Responsibilities

  • Track required HR and parent‑company training completion
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, invoicing, and vendor coordination as assigned
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, wellness activities, and onsite HR programs
  • Provide onsite HR support across multiple facilities as needed
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.  Experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on HR experience
  • Prior experience with HR systems (HRIS, ATS, Performance Management platforms) strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention‑to‑detail skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to evolving processes

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders as needed to perform job duties
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to see and hear (with or without corrective devices) to safely and effectively perform essential functions

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay range of $26.00-$30.00 / Hour DOE
  • 11 paid Holidays
  • Generous Paid Time Off — accrue up to 4 weeks per year
