Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Hyderabad for a Multimedia Journalist with 3 years of experience. The role involves reporting, writing, and producing multimedia news stories for digital platforms. Tasks include conducting interviews, gathering information, writing scripts, creating multimedia content, and delivering accurate and engaging news reports. The Multimedia Journalist will work closely with editors and production teams to ensure high-quality storytelling that aligns with the organization's vision.
- Strong command of written and spoken Tamil, with the ability to write clear, accurate, and engaging news stories.
- Ability to present stories on camera for explainers, breaking news updates, and digital-first video formats.
- Capable of converting written articles into video scripts and engaging short-form content for YouTube and social platforms.
- Good understanding of Tamil Nadu politics, Kollywood, sports, and trending social issues, with strong news judgment.
- Experience with SEO basics, and digital publishing workflows.
- Familiarity with video storytelling formats such as explainers, interviews, news capsules, and vertical videos.
- Ability to collaborate with editorial, video, and social media teams to produce impactful multimedia content.
- Track audience engagement and performance metrics to refine content strategy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom, handle breaking news, and meet deadlines.
