Role Description The Multi Skill Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Siliguri. The technician will perform day-to-day repair, maintenance, and basic electromechanical tasks across client facilities, ensuring that security systems, utilities, and building services operate reliably and safely. Responsibilities may include attending service calls, troubleshooting equipment faults, conducting routine inspections, supporting installation and upkeep of electronic surveillance systems, and coordinating with supervisors and client representatives to resolve facility-related issues. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety and compliance standards, and collaborating with other technical and operations teams to deliver consistent service quality. Flexibility to work in different client environments and respond to urgent maintenance requirements is essential.
Qualifications
- Technical maintenance and repair skills, including basic electrical, mechanical, or civil maintenance capabilities relevant to facility and equipment upkeep.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, use common tools and testing equipment, and support installation or servicing of electronic systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify faults, propose practical solutions, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and coordination skills to interact with clients, supervisors, and team members, and to maintain clear service documentation.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices, adherence to company procedures, and willingness to follow security and compliance guidelines.
- Prior experience in facility management, building maintenance, or technical support roles is preferred; experience in security or surveillance systems is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at ITI/diploma or equivalent in a relevant trade; higher technical qualifications will be considered favorably.
