Job Title - MuleSoft DevOps Engineer
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with MuleSoft experience to design, develop, and enhance GitHub-based DevOps pipelines supporting MuleSoft environments, including Runtime Fabric and CloudHub 2.0. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MuleSoft platform architecture and DevOps best practices, and will proactively identify anti-patterns, recommend improvements, and drive standardization across CI/CD processes. This role will work closely with platform, integration, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable delivery of MuleSoft applications. Key Responsibilities DevOps & CI/CD • Design, build, and enhance GitHub Actions–based CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft applications • Implement pipelines supporting: o Build, test, and packaging of MuleSoft APIs and integrations o Automated deployments to Runtime Fabric and CloudHub 2.0 o Environment-specific configuration and secrets management • Enable pipeline reuse through templates, reusable workflows, and shared actions • Integrate quality gates such as unit tests (MUnit), code coverage, and static analysis MuleSoft Platform Enablement • Support DevOps automation for MuleSoft assets across the SDLC • Work with Anypoint Platform components including: o Runtime Fabric o CloudHub 2.0 o Anypoint Exchange o API Manager and Runtime Manager (as applicable) • Align CI/CD pipelines with MuleSoft deployment models and operational requirements Architecture & Best Practices • Review existing DevOps pipelines, deployment patterns, and MuleSoft configurations • Identify anti-patterns in CI/CD, runtime configuration, and deployment strategies • Recommend and implement best practices for: o Environment separation o Secrets and credentials management o Artifact versioning and promotion strategies o Rollback, blue-green, or canary deployment approaches • Provide guidance on scalability, resilience, and observability Security & Compliance • Implement secure DevOps practices including: o Secrets management and token rotation o Least-privilege access for GitHub, Anypoint, and cloud resources o Integration of security scans where applicable • Ensure pipelines align with organizational security and compliance standards Collaboration & Enablement • Partner with integration developers, platform teams, and architects • Create and maintain DevOps documentation, standards, and reference implementations • Mentor teams on MuleSoft DevOps best practices and usage of CI/CD pipelines Required Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD, preferably using GitHub Actions • Experience working with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform • Hands-on exposure to Runtime Fabric and/or CloudHub 2.0 • Solid understanding of: o CI/CD design patterns o Infrastructure-as-code concepts o DevOps anti-patterns and remediation strategies • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, YAML, or Python • Understanding of Git-based version control and branching strategies Preferred Qualifications • Experience with: o MUnit automation and test integration o Artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory) o Containerization and Kubernetes concepts (especially for Runtime Fabric) • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Familiarity with enterprise integration governance and API lifecycle management Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to assess existing implementations and provide actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining
DevOps and MuleSoft concepts to mixed audiences
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
